Who We Are

Mission Architecture

Dr. Gjerloev served as the Principal Investigator (PI) for a $300M NASA MidEx mission concept, achieving the highest possible Category 1 technical and science rating. He served as the  Project Scientist for the $65M NASA EZIE mission and has worked on and developed several other mission concepts.

Global Infrastructure Leadership

Dr. Gjerloev founded and led SuperMAG, the world’s primary facility for accessing ground-based magnetometer data, a project that required the coordination of research efforts across the globe.

High-Level Policy & Strategy

Dr. Gjerloev has served as Chair at the United Nations World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Meeting on Space Weather and was invited to the White House to advise on international space weather infrastructure.

Scientific Authority

Dr. Gjerloev served as a nominator for the Nobel Prize in Physics (2012-2017), he has author of 160+ peer-reviewed papers with an H-index of 36. His expertise is recognized around the world as evident from his more than 100 invited presentations at international scientific meetings and he has served as a reviewer for a long list of agencies around the world. He has successfully won and led more than 40 competitive research grants in USA and Europe.
